Hello:
My DVD writes worked fine until I installed the KB835732 patch (prior to
installing Service Pack 2). Now, when I write to DVD, the DVD writes OK at
first and then writes slower and slower. Also, when using Windows Backup, if
I have verification enabled, Backup will freeze when the write is finished
(but before beginning verification).

A slightly different system (different motherboard, Service Pack 2 as well
as KB835732) has the same problem.

Both systems used the latest versions of Ahead InCD, which worked fine until
the KB835732 patch was installed.

Uninstalling KB835732 resolves the problem of the DVD slowing, but Windows
Backup still hangs at the end of the write.

Help please.

Ahead do not support this on XP2 they only support Nero 6.3.1.20 and all
higher version

For information from Ahead see the following link

I'm using Nero 6.6, which includes InCD.

You may want to try http://www.firestreamer.com/fsdvd/

This program didn't work for me (Backup says that media was unreadable when
formatted with this program, even after trying the resolution that the
website suggested). But thanks for the suggestion. Any other ideas?
