This also happens to a friend of mine. I too am looking for help with this
matter. My friend has Windows Xp and service pack one being he has version
and had nothing but problems when downloading service pk 2. Anyhow, the
problem is the same as below it keeps overriding firewall and antivirus which
was zone alarm keep saying the windows system32 :\r sytems. It also came up
in Spybot But will not allow deletion and after uninstalling Zone Alarm and
put on Panda antivirus too also shows this same error as stated Windows
system32 :/ r systems and it disables firewall and will not allow windows
updates. Does anyone know how to fix this error please post.
The reason I joined iwth the posting below is because the system would not
display the comment box. I had to reply to one and this is the closest to my
problem also.
thanks a million

Not sure if this helps, but the settings that define whether window
firewall is on or off on my system(XP Pro SP2) are stored in th
registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\

you can edit the permissions so that nothing can be added (deny all o
everyone), and so that it cant be turned off. if you want to be able t
add programs, just set the permissions on AuthorizedApplications t
allow your account full control, but then any other program can als
add to that list
