the wireless is a different access point. It will not protect your local
network unless its the first device your broadband is connected to.
to secure your wireless u need to turn your SSID broadcast off, change the
default SSID name, use WPA2 encryption, update your routers(s) firmware, turn
on mac address filters and firewalls. Also make sure you key that you use
for WAP is long and uses numbers letters and characters.
to secure your lan you need to use either your existing router, or the
linksys router as the gateway for your network.
