Please don't say search LOL. I'm a computer dummy. We downloaded, by mistake
I quickly learned, a online security suite from our ISP. With much help, we
did a system restore but since, I can't save my passwords & sign in on my
favorite forums etc. I have clicked auto complete in tools, options, content
but it still keeps deleting the cookies w/o me doing it? Any words of wisdom
or direction would be helpful. Can email me at bonjer94@rogers.com too.
Thanks

I don't know what "search LOL" is supposed to mean. But you can take
these words of wisdom first - never post your real, unmunged email
address on Usenet or messageboards. It will get harvested by spambots.
Here's a link explaining that:

Now, to your problem - you've got some kind of "security" software
installed that is deleting your cookies. Perhaps Spywareblaster, IE
protection by Spybot Search & Destroy and/or TeaTimer, or perhaps you
didn't uninstall all the stuff you downloaded from the ISP. There
really is no way for us to know what you have installed on your
machine. Since whatever it is must be running in the background, do
clean-boot troubleshooting to track down the culprit:

Of course I know what "LOL" means - I was being facetious. Since we are
posting in a Usenet newsgroup and not an AOL chatroom, I just find the
expression repellent.

Let us know if you need any help with the clean-boot troubleshooting.

Thanks I will. I apologize for not understanding the Usenet vs chat. I rarely
use either. Beginner. Thanks a million though!
