I have applied SP3 to my Windows XP Professional installation.  This was
a new/refresh install and I subsequently installed Symantec 10.1.5.5000.
This is NOT the latest Endpoint security.  The Windows Security Center
is Red-Shielding the AV solution as out-of-date but the current
definitions are reported.  While I have Googled for these kinds of
symptoms, I have not discovered any links using my search methods and am
thus turning to the kind experts here.

Is this a known issue and/or are there any remedies available?

TIA,

M

10.1.5 is full of problems and if you are using it on a network where
you connect to a server and have a roaming profile you will/may
experience corruption of the profile.

10.1.7 is the patched release version, please connect to symantec and
download the updates for it.
