i know it sounds daft but ive  just found out how to work a computer . ive
downloaded a programme from the internet which ive paid for but also want to
back it up onto  a disc  on its own just incase. i saved the set up on my
documents and dragged it onto sonic record and copied the file to a disc but
dont think that that is what im supposed to do. i  think that i should have
done somethng with the actual progamme instead. i have windows xp home
edition and dont have a clue what to do can someone help me please.

you have done it correctly. Take the cd and put it in back into your computer
and open up my computer on your desktop and open up the cd drive icon and see
if you can open and run the setup file if it dosen't run and opens the
program then you copied the shotvut which is just the icon to run the program
not the install. I like helping out people. Please let me know how it goes
ok. Thanks
