When I use update.microsoft.com with any newly imaged computer it asks me to
install KB892130. I have slipstreamed every other update but when I go to:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892130 to look up how to download the update,
I get, "The Knowledge Base (KB) Article You Requested Is Currently Not
Available"

Is there an msi/update I can manually download of this validation tool?  Why
is the KB unavailable?

Thanks,

Walter Weiss

Dunno why it's unavailable?

http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/downloads/Validate.aspx

You can grab the update there. I haven't tried to install it any other way.

I already have it installed - so that page just tells me it's installed.  How
do I uninstall it to get the prompt again?

Open IE, click tools, click options, click programs, click manage add-ons,
highlight and delete the LegitCheckControl.DLL (it's labeled) and you should
be able to try again?
