I have some Dell desktops with a COA on them. And I can't find the original
reinstall CDs but when I use ones from my other dells it doesn't ask for a
Product ID. How can I change it to match the product ID that is on the COA.
And does it matter what version of XP I put on it. I have Reinstalls CDS wo
SP1, Sp1a, Sp2

Thanks

Dell reinstallation CD's do not ask for a COA or key to be entered when you
are placing them on a Dell PC since they are locked to the Dell BIOS.

You can use the newest SP2 CD on all your XP Dells and not run into issues
as long as the Dells pass the BIOS check.

This is the same reason as to why they will not ask for activation.
