i was given an old panasonic toughbook (cf25) for school. it has a 166Mhz
(pentium w/ mmx) processor, 48MB ram, 1GB HD, and is running windows 98. i
have a Nortel Networks 802.11b wireless lan pcmcia card that i want to
configure to use with my schools wireless access points.  they have invormed
me, however, that in order to use their network you must have windows xp with
sp2 (because of the WAP encryption).  is there any way around this or do i
need to get a newer laptop that will run xp?

Thanks,
T

Your old laptop is obsolete...Windows XP will not run on it.
