I'm trying to change out the hard disk in my pc and I still have my oem
product key, and while I'm in there I want to change out my network card as
well, but I cannot find my xp cd. I have another oem disk from another (dell)
pc of mine that i'm running. Can I install using that disk and the same key
and then re-activate? Would changing out the hard disk and the network
interface card and installing the other copy of xp with the same key cause a
problem?

The older Dell Windows CD's were more-or-less standard Microsoft. Some
recent ones are not, however.

The other issue is that it needs to be the same service-pack level as your
OEM licence key (None, SP1/SP2) otherwise it may not accept the key.

There is however a good chance it will work fine.
