file folders created before new install

is it possible to install a fresh copy and find files and folders created 8
hrs before the installation???

Hi

Files/folders will be retained if you perform a 'Repair' install but not if
you perform a 'Clean' install of XP.

i didnt preform a repair i reinstalled bios formatted HD and did a new
installation ,
so im a bit confused.

Hi

If you reformatted the HD, then all the files/folders would have been
deleted.

okay i ddid reformat and i noticed after new install that certain
file/forders were created hours before and at the time they say they were
created my computer was turned off
