I am in need of major help.  I have reformatted before, and I have built
computers before, but I have done tons of things to this and cannot get it to
work.  I can reformat my partition, and whenever it starts copying the files,
it says that windows couldn't copy certain files, such as:
p2psvc.dll
progman.exe
qedwipes.dll
ntfs.sys
qdn.dll
qdvd.dll
guitrn_a.dll
ir50_32.dll
msexc140.dll
msexch.dll
mstext40.dll
msvcrt20.dll
qedit.dll
xenroll.dll
cdfs_alesystem.dll
query.dll
These were all over about 3 installation tries......it says if installing
from a cd, I should make sure the cd is in the drive.  It gives me the
options of ignoring, retrying, or canceling.
I've tried ignoring it, but after about the 2nd or 3rd time it just shuts my
computer down.
I've tried both cd-rom drives in my computer, and both of my hard
drives.........what else can I do?????
PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!!!!!

Thanks,
JP

Try booting to xp cd,recovery, select 1 For C:  Press enter for password,if
other
text apears,simply type:DiskPart  In DiskPart,delete the
partition(s),create one
then press ESC key. From here you can, type:FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs  Or type:
EXIT  Either way, reboot to xp cd,select, install xp...Also,clean the xp cd,use
isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol),all tape/cd/dvd mfg simply use this in
thier
"cleaning kits" .....

I have 2 VALID copies of XP professional, and they both do the same thing,
but neither of them show the same "Uncopied FILES."  I have also tried them
in every cd-rom drive I have.  I can't fully erase entire drive, as the other
partitions have files that have not been backed up yet.  I have cleaned the
cd's, the drives, and the bios recognizes the drives and hard
drives.........any other ideas????

You could try the HD manu, diagnostics utility, you could also test your
memory, memtest86+

One of my friends suggested I remove a stick of ram, and see if it did it
then......I removed the ram, and that worked.......not sure if ram is bad or
what.......Thanks for the input though, I greatly appreciate it.
