I cannot get IE 6 to launch. If you double click on the shortcut it will
begin to launch then just close down. I've run SFC and marked IE 6 as
uninstalled in the registry and reinstalled it. Also, I cannot launch the
Norton Anti-Virus or the AOL browser. I beleive one of the IE 6 files ma be
corrupt, but can't tell which one. An help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried running the IE6 repair tool?
On my 98SE PC I have to go to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System
Information/Tools - select IE Repair/Repair.
