Hi,

I have a problem when starting windows .

Up to now after the windows Logo appeared the screen changed to black and
immediatly showed the mouse curser
in the middle of the black window and within a couple of seconds windows
started.

Since yesterday the screen turns black after the windows logo appeared and
stays black for 67seconds before the mouse
curser appears and only than windows starts.

I dont know what caused this problem and how to fix it.
Your help is appreciated.

Regards
Erwin

Erwin,

See if there is any information in the event viewer:
START -> RUN
type EVENTVWR
Select OK

Can you return to a Restore Point?
Have you installed some kind of new driver/hardware or application?

Greetz,

Mike Schmeitz

Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately it did not solve the problem.
i tried restoring to various earlier dates without success.
I also disabled all start-up programs (in msconfig) without success.
I did not install any new programs or drivers.
Your help is appreciated.
Regards
Erwin
