Hi,

I want to know if we can move the whole Application Data folder from the
Documents & Settings\%User Profile% to some network drive. The reason I want
to do this is to make my users' profiles light enough so that roaming
profiles among workstations is easy. Everyone of these users has a home
drive mapped to their profile and that's where I want to move the
Application Data folder!!!

Is that possible?

Thanks,

Riadh

You can do this via "Folder Redirection" policies in Group Policy.
Understand though that unless this folder is made available offline, that
users profiles will get confused when logging on when the network is
unavailable.

Cheers,
Jeremy.

Thanks Jeremy. That's in fact what I did and it works perfectly. As for
making them offline folders, it's not really a problem.
