Hi Everyone,

Can I use the computer administration tools that, come with XP pro, to
create a new partition on my only HD . I wanted to install another operating
system on the hard drive I would create.
I know that there is 3rd party software that will partition a HD, but I
wanted to inquire about ways a novice can safely partition and manage a
partition with XP tools.

You can only use the inbuilt Disk Management tools to create a New Partition
on either a new hard disk or on free space in your current drive.
If you have no free space you cannot create a partition
