I have windows xp on my c drive and want to put in on the new f drive. I
only have windows xp upgrade and  upgraded from millenium that was on this
system. I have no os full version only recovery disks that will not work. Any
suggestions besides going to buy a new os. I have 5 computers and none have a
full version os on it.

I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish. Why do you want to
install XP on your F drive? Please explain further.

In edition to Tim's post;
If you have the upgrade cd you need the earlier edition cd in order to clean
install. You do not have to install the early edition, you just need it to
point to when the winxp upgrade cd complains.
So if you havent got an early edition, go out & buy one

Nadine if you are planing to just swap drives...F for C might I suggest
doing to the website of the Hard drive manufacturer and downloading their
"ghosting" program....this will copy all of C to F make it bootable and then
you just need to remove C and put F in its place.C can then still be used as
a slave drive for extra storage.
If you are aiming to do this often might I suggest you invest in a good
Imaging/backup program like Acronis True Image.
