I am having serious praoblems validating Windows in order to download a media
player codec. It was suggested that I uninstall Explorer 7 which I did but
this has not helped and now I can't reinstall EX7. I do not get the ActiveX
window when I try to validate my version of Windows. Now using the alternate
method gets me to page saying that page cannot be displayed.

This just does not work for me. I keep getting the following:

Passed Active scripting allowed
Passed Display images enabled
Passed Computer time and date correct
Passed ActiveX enabled
Failed Windows validation ActiveX loaded
Failed Office validation ActiveX loaded
Failed Validation Self-help ActiveX loaded
