printer compatiblity in xp home

I am getting a computer from dell and would like to know
if my printer a 952c hp will be compatible with xp home
edition? I f not what will I have to do to make it so?

Download the Windows XP compatible software from HP,
install the software, then connect your printer to your computer
and turn it on.
