Does anybody know how to make a broadband internet connection work on a just
restored computer that was vista home now downgraded to xp pro ?

I setup xp pro on my gateway MT3418 and now since it was shipped with the
vista os I have no way to update the drivers on it. Windows xp is working and
running programs fine, but the is something wrong with it. It will not
recognize some usb devices or any internet connection. I think its because of
the lack of drivers. The recovery disk that came with my computer is for
vista and when I insert it into my computer it wants to upgrade the os to
vista. I do not want to upgrade to vista I want it to work on xp but I have
to be able to get the internet to work so I can download updates through
windows update and gateway drivers.
I have been trying to figure this out for about 2 weeks to no avail, any
ideas or comments would be appreciated.
Need any extra details just ask. Thanks!

If Gateway doesnt have winxp drivers for your laptop, you are probably
stuffed
You should have bought a laptop with winxp pro installed
