I downloaded and installed SP2 but after I restarted my computer and tried to
install Office Home and Student the installation dialog popped up stating
that I needed to have SP2 installed....I obviously did something wrong with
the SP2 download, has anybody had this problem, I used the automatic updates
and the 2nd time I did custom and selected everything, still the Office Home
and Student doesn't think I have it installed

Start button --> RUN --> type in "winver" (sans the quotation marks) and
click on OK.

Underneath the words "Microsoft Windows", what version (full line,
everything in the parenthesis) does it say you have?
