I have XP Pro 32 bit. I downloaded the 64bit trial from Microsoft.com. I
burnt the iso to  a disk and try to install. When it goes to the Windows
Setup blue screen it starts up or whatever it doing. At the end when it says
Setup is starting windows I get a blue screen of death. Do i have to reformat
the drive first?

* Somone told me its because i have 4gb's of ram and to try it with 2 in the
pc. I tried it and no luck.

First - you have the hardware for Windows XP x64, I assume?
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/facts/sysreq.mspx

I think this may have your answer (yes you need to format):
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896455

Specifically, "These issues occur if you install an x64-based version of
Windows on the same partition as your 32-bit version of Windows. Dual-boot
environments are not supported if the 32-bit version of Windows and the
x64-based version of Windows are installed on the same partition."

The x64 will EASILY support the 4GB of memory.  The 32bit - it will 'support
it', but you won't get full use of it. heh

What about hard drive controller drivers - might you need those (F6
installation?)
