Assuming you refer to installing drivers using F6 option, then no.
You can create a slipstreamed installation cd containing the drivers.
You are concerned about time / corruption why? the last time I installed
using floppy was about 3 years ago
3 minutes for 3 years hardly a problem & a floppy can allways be redone

I formatted 10 old floppies and got 10 bad results. The media simply
failed to survive after many years and only a new floppy ultimately solved
thatproblem. It wasted three hours of time on a Sunday, and it's not
something I'm keen to repeat.
Creating a slipstream CD is a good idea but for those times when you do not
have one being able to grab the drivers from USB would be better than having
to choose between finding a good floppy and making a new slipstream CD.

Winxp will not be updated to provide this function.
