Win XP fixing existing installation problem

I had a problem with a virus and deleted several
directories from my XP Home installation.  Now, every
time I reboot, I get this message: "Windows XP setup can
not run under safe mode."  I can not do anything from
this point but reboot.

Try doing a Repair Install.
