May I reinstall an OEM licence in a different PC??

My old computer is damaged? I assembled a new one by myself, may I reinstall Win XP Professional OEM licence from my old computer, to my new one??   If no: Have I lost my OEM licence??  Have I to buy a new licence??

Hi,

I believe you have bought a license to run XP on one
computer. You can reactivate this license on the new
computer as long as you are not using it on the old PC.

The licensing for OEM products is different from retail products.

Maraiot,

No you may not move an OEM license from the original machine.
Yes you have lost the OEM license - it is a "one time use" license tied to
the original machine and dies with that machine.
Yes you will need to purchase a new Windows XP CD and license for your new
PC.

Greetings --

   OEM versions are _permanently_ bound to the first PC on which they
are installed.  An OEM license, once installed, is not legally
transferable to another computer under any circumstances.  This is the
main reason some people avoid OEM versions; if the PC dies or is
otherwise disposed of (even stolen), you cannot re-use your OEM
license on a new PC.
