Because the server is NOT "j.florio". You need to contact your ISP for the
precise settings you should enter....

1 =First let's be clear about this, is it Outlook Express or Outlook?.
Then read this:
This Error can be the cause of many things:
... Anti-Virus software. like e-mail scanner can block the sending or
receiving.
... A bad Modem, but if you can browse the internet that will be excluded.
... Incorrect Account been set or changed, like you changed you ISP and
you still using your old ISP server or account.
... Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) you can change that in the modem
settings.
... Outlook/Outlook Express is damaged on your computer.
... Firewall is blocking your outlook/outlook express.
... Your profile is corrupt.
If you have not changed anything since the last time you checked / sent
mail, do not adjust your settings simply close Outlook Express, reopen it and
try again later.

there's an incoming pop server and an outgoing smtp server for mail accounts.
You should call your Internet Service Provider on the telephone and have
them speak you through the process of setting up Outlook.  After they tell
you your temporary password on the phone you then login to the mail server
through your web browser and change the password and then you change the
password in Outlook.  It's not too hard.  Also, sometimes the host isn't
available.  Don't worry, it's like a busy signal, try try again.
