Problem installing windows

I am trying to install windows after my computer crashed.  I am using
my bootable/restore disc.  I already formatted the hard drive on
another computer using NTFS.  Every time I try and install windows I
get the following message:

"Setup cannot find the End User Licensing Agreement (EULA).
Setup cannot continue.  To quit, press F3"

Can anyone PLEASE tell me what is going on, or better yet how I can
fix this problem?

I would be forever grateful for anyone that could answer this question.

Here's the problem.  I have seen this support article already.  My
problem is that it can't find the EULA.  Step 4 in that article is
"Press F8 to accept the Windows XP Licensing Agreement.".  I can't do
that.  Microsoft is confused.  Part of the process is the exact
problem described in the error message.  Any other ideas please???

What kind of "bootable/restore" CD are you using?  Is it a genuine Windows
XP CD from Microsoft?  If not, this may be part of the problem.

If it is, I would try to put that hard drive back in another XP computer,
delete all partitions on it (using Disk Manager), and then put it back in
your new computer and try to run Setup again from the CD.  The article is
suggesting that because you formatted it with another computer which was not
running XP, that's what is causing the problem.

Best Wishes,
Kurosh

What caused your computer to crash in the first place? It's quite
possible that this problem will repeat. More often than not, a reinstall
of the OS is not needed to fix PC problems.

What is the make and model of your PC? Please describe this
"bootable/restore disc."
