For some unknown reason the HP folder on my PC opens every time I boot
the damn thing up. It is annoying rather than disruptive but I would
like to get rid of it. I have run Startup Tracker 3 and the results are
below. Any ideas on how to fix it are very appreciated;

Run MSConfig.exe. The Startup tab will allow disabling, one at a time, all
those items that include the .../HP/.... folder in their path, then restart.
When the folder fails to open on start, you have found the one that has some
problem with the path in the registry.

Hi Philip B,
Here is your problem. Insert quotes around this registration entry.
"c:\Program Files\HP DigitalMedia Archive\DMAScheduler.exe"

yes - download windows defender from microsoft for free and click on tools.
then look thru start up stuff, disable it if you wnt to then go to currently
running programs, look for recguard and disable it.
hope that helps.
