I don't have a whole lot of confidence in ever getting an answer, but here
goes.
I spent two hours today talking to Comcast and/or McAfee.  My goal was to
download the free version of McAfee which comes with my Comcast account.
After a ridiculous amount of time, I was told to go to Microsoft and download
MSXML vs. 3 and MSXML vs. 4 and then call Comcast back and this would solve
all my problems.  Of course, Microsoft wants $59 to even talk to me, which
would kind of defeat the purpose of getting the free McAfee package.  Should
I just pay the money for McAfee and give up?

You may not like my answer, but it's the best one I can give you. Next
to Norton, McAfee is the worst security software on the market. Not
only do I not recommend paying for it, I wouldn't recommend using it
if it were free.

There's lots better available that *is* free, such as the freeware
Avast! anti-virus.

I guess I will try Avast.  Wonder why it's free, though.

Do not use McAfee. Why do you want it?
