I have been downloading audio books from the library for some time with no
problems. However, the other day I was unable to and got the message "Unable
to create the CAPICOM object used to generate hash strings (invalid class
string)". What happened? How can I fix this?

It may have to do with the software that your library uses to allow you to
download. There may be a patch available from the software vendor (not MS).
