AVG free edition of 8.0

I upgraded to the free version of AVG 8.0. With the 7.5 edition there was
an icon in the task bar. The Icon is no longer there with this new edition.
Is there a way to put it there and have it stay there. I can go to my
programs - AVG free 8.0 - and click on AVG Free tray Icon and it will send
an icon to the task bar. But.....when I turn the computer back on the
Icon is gone. Thanks for any help

Look in msconfig and see if avgtray is there and checked. If not check it
and reboot.

Thanks bud, I ended up taking the program off and loading it back on.
Looks like the icon is now in the task bar and all is well. . Thank you
for taking the time to help me.
