Check out "Revo Uninstaller" (Google)

I think the program has messed with my registry also, it is still showing in
my program files but they do not seem to be active files, red light on hard
drive is solid all the time. How can i make sure my registry is okay?

Sorry, that was all I can say. No idea. Try Revo Uninstaller in one of
the deep modes. It may be, that you got some driver installed which
causes the trouble. Do revert to an earlier system-restore point, if
possible. Maybe that helps.

Uninstall Norton , get  free firewall , antivirus etc , and Power
Burner will probably work .
