Hello,
i been breaking my head over this. What type of modem does Windows XP Pro.
Fax Services require in order for Fax Console to recognize and fill in the
"Caller ID" field?
1. i have tried 3 different modems (generic, generic, robotics)
2. all three different modems recognize the caller id when using AT+VCID=1
string, via HyperTerminal
3. in modem Control Panel, the string AT+VCID=1 is typed in the Advanced tab
"Extra initialization commands"
but, yet Fax Console will not display the caller id.
Any guidance or ideas are much greatly appriciated.

Try posting to multiple groups in one message. I just responded to you
in another group and it does not show here since you posted single
messages and not one crossposted message. Its not proper practice.
Not sure how you read, but if you crosspost to multiple groups you only
have to monitor one of them since any response to one is posted to all.
Its to your benefit.
Good luck.

2. in the GUI you will see headings on the columns (one of them says Caller
ID)
3. when you recieve a fax, the Senders CAller ID is displayed
4. Yes, i have caller id feature turn on my telephone line
5. no i am not talking about TSID
