How do I save movies from my DVD-Rom to my hard drive?  I have some DVD's
that are not "protected".  I have downloaded XP Codec Pack.

You can just copy them in the same way you would copy files from any other
media...

If you want to create MPEG2 or MPEG1 files from them instead of having the
native VOB, BUP and IFO files, then you'll use third party editing
software... either Roxio, Nero, PowerDVD or WinDVD Creator.

dvd decypter is the fastest way of ripping a dvd to your hdd as far as i
know...i can do a 7gb dvd to hdd in approx 10 mins..rips as vob files..using
a 2.2ghz amd athlon xp..or dvd shrink will also do it a bit slower and
compress it to 4.5 gb (dvd-r size)
