For some reason all of the sudden when I go to play a video file only the
program box appears on the taskbar and only the audio plays. When I try to
get video it only shows me a small screen at the top of the taskbar. I cant
seem to get the actual wmp program to run fully. I also cannot find it
anywhere in the add remove section so I cant uninstall/install. Any clues?
Sugg.?

======================
Maybe you can find it in Add-
Remove Programs if you Check
the box "Show Updates".
Now scroll down to:
Windows XP - Software Updates /
Windows Media Player 10.
Might be worth a try to install
WMP10 again.

Sounds like your Windows Media Player is running in taskbar mode. This mode
activates so that when you minimize it, you still have access to the
controls.
Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, point to toolbars and see if
there is a check-mark next to Windows Media Player. If there is, this might
be your problem. By deselecting it you should fix the problem.
