Have sound but no picture on Windows media player ?

My media player (windows Version 11) won't play videos but does play sound, i
have tried other media players and have no joy.It won't except any dvd's or
avi files or TS files but does play WMV files with sound and picture.

AVI files usally need XVID or DIVX codecs... and DVDs need decoding
software. Have you tried reinstalling these?
