Hi Everyone
Please bear with me as I am new to these forums.  I am running xp pr
which has been running fine until yesterday. Now when I switch on m
pc, the display disappears after the windows logo with the blu
scrolling bar thingy underneath.  Windows stills starts ( I can hea
the sounds ) but I do not have any display.  I was using a geforc
7300GT 512MB card, which I have taken out and reverted back to onboar
graphics, just in case the card was faulty, I have changed the cmo
back to onboard display, but still no joy.
Any help, ideas or suggestions would be most welcome.

Many Thank

Try booting into Safe Mode.

I have a similar problem. I get the loading screen but the video goes dark
before the desktop even shows up. I can log into safemode fine but as soon as
I start up normally the problem appears again. I have an inkling that it
might be a incorrect screen format being sent to the monitor some sort of out
of range issue. I am at a loss at how to fix this though because the screen
changes in safe mode don't change anything when you boot up normally.
