and the Ulead range of dvd apps will quite easily handle mpegs.

Use VideoReDo from <http://www.drdsystems.com/VideoReDo/index.html>
I use it all the time to trim bits out of 2-hour Mpeg-2s. Amazingly
fast, no re-encoding, and great support.

Thanks immensely. It looks as if this is what I have been
waiting for. I have downloaded a trial version and after one
look I am sure I will purchase the full version soon. God
