my sound aint working since my friends dad reformated my computer is my
sound card broke or something or there is just no program for that card

First, some punctuation and sentence structure would have been nice.

Did you download the latest drivers for your audio card from the
manufacturers website?
If so, did you install those drivers?
If so, what errors are you getting?
