I would like to send a fax to London England and would appreciate detailed instructions outlining the procedure. Can someone help me?

Create the page or pages you want to send by FAX
Click Start/all programs/accessories/communication/fax
console
run the wizard
be sure you have the correct country codes and such for the
fax and send it.  It will cost you telephone long-distance
charges.
A PDF emailed is cheaper
You can make a PDF for free using CutePDF www.cutepdf.com

If you want to send something important:
1. Print your document and cover page.
2. Have it faxed from nearest post office or other shop.
Take the confirmation printout with you - it is the proof that the fax was
received.

Otherwise - read Windows help on using the Windows fax, connect your modem and...
have fun :)
