I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 and automatic updates is continually failing to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 (KB110806) . Even when I try to mannually install it directly from the update site I get an error: Installation Failure rror Code: 0x643 I can find nothing on this problem on Google. MSI returned error code 1603 [12/15/07,10:14:22] Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a. MSI returned error code 1603 [12/15/07,10:15:05] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a is not installed. My Add/Remove programs shows the following Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB886903) Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 I am going to try to uninstall 3 and 2 and then reinstall to see if that works.
