First, let me thank all of you who help those of us not as computer savvy,
keep our machines running. I know it has saved me major bucks not having to
run to a computer repair place every time I have a problem. Now with that
said, I often lurk in here, just to see what problems others are having, and
what the solutions are. You'd be amazed at how many times I've been able to
solve my *own* computer related problem because someone else had it first,
and a solution was offered. But....I only know if it was really a solution
if the poster posts back with the answer! It drives me nuts when someone
asks for help...gets it...then doesn't bother to post back. You should at
least say thank you! People aren't *obligated* to help you know.

Yes...
It is very helpful when someone posts back.
If the "solution" was a good one or a bad one...it's nice to get feedback.

Good post "guy",
I'm 100% with you there. I've had the same experience - find my
problem described exactly with no definitive solution acknowledged, so
I end up trying what was suggested. Another thing some folks do is
post the same problem in multiple groups/forums. This in itself is not
a real big deal, but I wish they would go back to all their threads
and let everyone know what worked - and what didn't.
Regards

Agreed. This NG has helped me to no end.
