Hello.
I'm writing from France with a problem I haven't been able
to solve here.
In the Configuration Panel (how good is that?), there is an
icon called "Digital Camera Settings ", which appeared (I
think) after I *once* connected a friend's camera to the PC
; I used to connect mine too, but I can't remember that icon
appearing then (or is disappeared when I unconnected?).
When I select it from the Files Explorer (?) program, a
pop-up window appears saying the connection failed, even if
my camera is connected.
Now I just can't delete that icon. Anyway I try it won't go.
There is no "Suppress" nor "Erase" menu entry anywhere.
What would you do to get rid of a useless icon, please?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Look in device manager or add/remove programs.

"Big Al" :
| Look in device manager or add/remove programs.

There is no such entry there, nor under the "add or remove
Windows components" (third button from top in the left
column).
Another idea perhaps? I am prepared to erase it from the
Register, only I want to make sure I do the right things.

Hello,
Try the following program it may be able to remove your " useless icon".
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/
Other possiblibilty, try to use Start - Run
"regedit" to locate and remove the icon.
Please back up your registry before using "regedit".
A good registry back up program:
