How can I change the File Type descriptions for established Extensions? E.g.,
how can I change BMP, JPE, JPEG, JPG, PSD, and TIFF (which isn't even listed
in Folder Types | File Types) all to read a File Type of "Graphic File"?

I 'thought' I used to be able to change it in the Folder Options dialog box
but while it allows me to make a change, it doesn't seem to take effect when
I save it.

Thanks

yes, in file types, click the .bmp for example then advanced button.

I'd already tried that, and at least with my PC, the change does not apply;
it returns to what it was before I opened and editted it.
