I am trying to troubleshoot a problem with one of my PCs. After it
runs for a couple of weeks, I have noticed that the left-click on a
desktop icon brings up the properties page instead of running the
program.

Any thouhgts on where I should look for a cause and/or possible
solution?

Does rightclicking maybe click then normally, and double-rightclick
launches the program?
If so, you switched your mouse from righthanded to lefthanded.
Check in controlpanel, select mouse, then check its settings.

In this case, it is unlikely that the mouse was switched from
righthanded to lefthanded. THis is a headless PC. I am the only one
who has remote access to the PC. In this case, the issue seems to be
caused by the application I have running on the PC. The applicaiton
runs for a couple of weeks then this occurs.

Take Care
