I am preparing to install XP SP 3 but I have a concern. I regularly install
Windows updates and a year and a half ago I installed KB911280 which fixes a
security hole related to dialup access only. I was told by Microsoft to
uninstall the KB911280 update which solved my problem. My question now is
since Service Pack 3 is cumulative it will install KB911280 again. Will I
be able to uninstall KB911280 in any way after SP 3 is installed? When
KB911280 was installed via Windows update I was able to find it in
"Add/Remove Programs" and remove it. Will it be listed there after SP 3
installation so that it may be removed in the same way?

It may or may not be. It is not listed on my add/remove list and I did NOT
remove it. However why worry? If you have a problem SP3 is very easily
removed.

Hotfix KB911280 is already included in SP3 so you don't have to worrry about
it. If you uninstall SP3, then you will also uninstall that hotfix. For a list
hotfixes included in SP3, have a look here:
