I thought you press F12 when you turn your computer on, however that isnt working for me. What am I doing wrong? I once had a dog named sgopus, I wonder if that's him? sgopus' rudeness aside, you should have restore disks that Hp's setup instructions would have suggested you make when you 1st bought the computer. If you want to reinstall everything the way it was originally when new, press F10 as suggested by others and the link provided. NOTE: this will remove everything you have saved to the hard drive; photos, music files, bookmarks/favorites, etc. MAKE A BACKUP FIRST. Remember, the first time you turned on that HP Pavilion, you were prompted to create the necessary Recovery disks. So, basically, all you need do is just pull those out of storage and boot the computer from them.
