In safe mode the administrator account has extra-large high-contrast
fonts on the desktop.
How can I reset them?
... and how did they get that way?
(Normally changing a setting in safe mode only changes it in the non-
safe-mode, right?
And the administrator account only exists in safe mode, right?)
Thanks,
Harvey

While *in* safe mode you have extra large high contrast fonts - or is the
screen resolution just really low because the video card driver is not
loaded in Safe Mode? heh

Changing a setting in Safe Mode (if an allowed change in safe mode) changes
the setting EVERYWHERE.

Depending on the OS in question - you may only be able to log in as the
"administrator" user account in safe mode - it, however, exists no matter
what mode you are in.  (Windows XP Home Edition - can only access it in Safe
Mode.  Windows XP Professional or other editions - can access it in normal
mode as well.)

Well, I'm not sure exactly what I did, but it is more normal now.
All this is _in_ Safe Mode.
No, it really was using Extra-large fonts. (Don't know about the high-
contrast, actually.)
I had tried several times to change the settings in Display
Properties, on the various tabs, but "Apply" would not actually change
them. (The apply button was active, not grayed.)
Well after my post, I tried some more and went into the Advanced
button on the Settings tab.
Looked at all four tabs there, but didn't change anything. When I
clicked OK, the fonts went normal.
The background is still black, even though I have blue selected. But
that's no big deal.
Kinda mysterious.
Thanks,
Harvey
