SP3: unscannable objects

I run XP SP3 and IE7.  After some initial problems, and with advice from this
forum, I downloaded SP3 from Microsoft Download Center and re-installed it
with my AVG 7.5 antivirus and Win Defender both disabled.  This was good
advice  - it now seems to work fine.
However, I do a scan once a week with Windows Live Security Scanner.  Since
re-install of XP SP3 it still reports no viruses or spyware but it tells me
each time that it could not scan 9 objects.  Under SP2 it scanned all
objects.  I have repeated the SP3 scan with AVG and Defender disabled and it
again states 9 objects not scanned.  With the exception of the re-installed
SP3 my set-up is identical to that when scanning under SP2, so I am assuming
the unscannable items are part of SP3.  Can anyone else replicate this
behaviour or help to shed any light on what the 9 objects are please?
(Unfortunately Win Live Safety Scanner doesn't identify them by name).
(There are no password protected documents on my PC.)

Sorry, don't understand - is this a reference to something?

See here to understand why Windows Defender doesn't catch sh.t.

Unscannable items in SP3 cleared by deleting old system restore points.
