Let me see what happens when I try to find and install software for this
Intel Mother board.
As far as SCSI is concerned, the SCSI BIOS is loaded during boot, followed
by a search for SCSI devices, of which 5 are found, not including the SCSI
card, which is there but not identified during boot.
Thanks,
DAW

I found some Intel Utilities, including a Chipset installation utility for
my D845PEBT2 Motherboard, sort of in the "antique motherboard" section,
downloaded and installed it, but no help.
Then I deleted the two SCSI CD drives from the system, re-started it, and
they still come up with drivers installed, but no link to drive letters,
still error 41.
One more thing to try is to remove an external backup drive I added for my
network of 3 computers and which took up one of the old drive letters once
used by the CD devices.
Thanks,
DAW

I found a chipset utility on the Intel site, installed it, but still get the
error 41, even after removing and un-installing an external USB backup
drive.
No idea where to go from here. Board is Intel D845PEBT2 and it is carried
as an unsupported board, but they do have some software for it. None of the
software related to CD Rom drives. It was mostly for USB, Video sets, etc.
Help!
